The Allen-Bradley 1336-BDB-SP39D is a gate drive PC board manufactured by Rockwell Automation that is also known as the 74101-169-82 part. This specific PC board has a 460V AC input voltage, as well as a 250 HP rating. It can be used with 1336 drives that have an E frame size and 250 HP output. Only one 1336-BDB-SP39D PC board kit can be installed on each 1336 drive. Five general types of drives are available for the 1336 series and these are FORCE, PLUS, PLUS II, CLASSIC, and IMPACT drives. These drives are compatible with AC drives that have HP ratings that range from 3 to 800 HP, with the PLUS, PLUS II, and CLASSIC drives used for applications that require general performance and the IMPACT and FORCE drives for high-performance operations. These drives, including the 1336-BDB-SP39D PC board, have a NEMA Type 1, 4, 12 typical enclosure rating. To protect the drive, it is equipped with various safety features, such as under and over voltage, output short circuits, output ground fault, and motor overload. They also come with a hardware enable found on the drive’s Terminal 30, which is a non-programmable input. Opening this input will result in the interruption of the 1336-BDB-SP39D drive and undergo a coast to stop instead of following the chosen stop mode. They also have a UL panel recognition, as well as various ports for communication, such as Enhanced DeviceNet ports, DeviceNet ports, RS232/422/485 ports, analog I/O, and single-point RIO. Human interface modules (HIM) available for 1336 drives are analog, digital, programmer, and blank HIM.

The 1336-BDB-SP39D is an Allen-Bradley component that is mainly called as a PCD Gate drive board. This is a Level1, Major Assembly component that is primary used to provide power to the drive’s main and isolation boards.

This electronic component also provides the termination of the drive through the terminal block TB1. This terminal block accepts the power supply input of 460VAC which is then internally distributed through the PCB drive’s slotted connections designed for ribbon and jumper cables. These cables establish end to end connection to the other electronic boards which incudes the main board, isolation board and even the Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) circuit.

At 460VAC input, this PCD driver manages to provide and output power of 250HP through is output connection. Drives that are compatible to use this electronic component are 1336 Plus, Plus II, Force and Impact adjustable Frequency AC drives. Being in the output category of 250HP, these components is installed to a Frame E drive. Frame E drive refers to a range of adjustable frequency AC drives with common dimensions and weight. This grouping helps in easier definition of physical property of the drive as well as the output characteristics.

Use only One (1) 1336-BDB-SP39D per drive. By design and principle, it is impossible to use Two (2) or more at the same time. This drive is located between the chassis of the drive and the main control board. It is separated by its dedicated mounting plate which also allows this component to be removed as a unit by detaching the mounting plate from its installation point.
