A simple ControlLogix system consists of a standalone controller and I/O modules in one chassis. For a more comprehensive system, use the following:
? Multiple controllers in one chassis
? Multiple controllers joined across networks
? I/O in multiple platforms that are distributed in many locations and connected over multiple networks
? Select ControlLogix products are available with a conformal coating that adds a layer of protection when exposed to harsh, corrosive
environments. Products with a conformal coating have a ‘K’ suffix at the end of the catalog number.
? ControlLogix-XT controllers are designed for temperature extremes, and are conformal coated for extended protection in harsh,
corrosive environments.
The ControlLogix controller is part of the Logix 5000? family of controllers.
? ControlLogix controllers can monitor and control I/O across the ControlLogix backplane, and over networks. ControlLogix controllers
can communicate over EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, DH+?, Remote I/O networks, and many third-party process and device
networks.
