A removable terminal block (RTB) or Bulletin 1492 Wiring Interface Module (IFM) is required for all field wiring
Includes built-in timestamp functionality for event sequence (SOE) applications
Provides EtherNet/IP? communications, including CIP Security? and redundancy capabilities
Comprehensive I/O diagnostics enable detection of system failures and field failures
Live pluggable (RIUP) for easy maintenance
Electronic keying is provided to help prevent replacement errors
I/O wizards are included in the Studio 5000 Logix Designer? application for quick and easy module configuration

The ControlLogix 1756 analog I/O 6-channel module with isolation will be discontinued on March 31, 2017 and will no longer be sold. Customers are advised to migrate to the 1756 isolated analog I/O 8-channel module by following the 6-to-8-channel 1756 Analog Module Migration Guide

No field calibration required
Use 24-bit design to improve accuracy
Contains each channel status and fault indicator
Provides SIL 1, System function 2, and is type-certified for use in the ControlLogix SIL 2 architecture
Simulation mode is available to help customers upgrade from 6-channel application projects

Implement network-based access control for users, devices, and networks in 1756 racks
Provides redundancy functions
Provides a security module for encrypting important information shared between the controller and server to prevent tampering

1756 Compute Module
High-speed access to the ControlLogix controller is provided through the backplane
