The electronic overspeed detection system of Bentley’s 350032-01-01 Series Mechanical inspection system is a highly reliable, fast responding redundant tachometer system specifically designed for overspeed protection of machinery. The 350032-01-01 module can be used to compose a 2 ? 2 or 3 ? 2(recommended) voting system. The 3500 frame with the overspeed detection system requires a redundant power supply.
Each overspeed detection module receives a signal from an eddy current sensor or magnetic sensor, with the input signal ranging from +10.0V to -24.0V. Signals outside this range are limited within the module. For Bentley 3300 8mm eddy current sensor, 3300 16mm High temperature Eddy current sensor (HTPS), 7200 5mm, 8mm, 11mm and 14mm eddy current sensor, 350032-01-01 RAM Eddy current sensor, or magnetic sensor.
The Bentley 350032-01-01 overspeed protection module is designed as a channel module, which is suitable for overspeed protection applications in two or three module groups. The module receives a speed pulse input signal from the proximity sensor or magnetoelectric sensor and uses this input signal to drive the alarm. For machine protection purposes, the module offers four fast response alarm relay outputs. 3500 overspeed protection system is configured into two modules, one table block or three modules, two out of three voting Settings.
The most basic purpose of the 3500 overspeed protection system is to provide 1) drive the alarm by continuously comparing the current machine speed with the alarm setting point of the configuration to achieve machine protection and 2) provide important machine speed information to the operator and maintenance personnel. Use the 350032-01-01 framework configuration software to set the alarm setup point.
