The 3500/70M is a key component in Bently Nevada’s 3500 series of mechanical protection systems, commonly used as part of the reciprocating compressor solution package to monitor the vibration of the compressor crankcase and beam.

The module is a 4-channel monitor that accepts input signals from seismic sensors and then adjusts these signals to obtain various vibration measurements. The conditioned signal is compared to a user-programmable alarm threshold, and once the vibration exceeds the preset safety range, the module triggers an alarm, thereby notifying the operator in time to take the necessary action.
