8440-2167是一款同步器，是掛檔齒輪的組合機(jī)構(gòu)，它的主要作用是實現(xiàn)換檔同步。在舊式變速器的換檔過程中，操作復(fù)雜且難以精確掌握，因此設(shè)計師創(chuàng)造出同步器。同步器有多種形式，包括常壓式、慣性式和自行增力式等，目前廣泛采用的是慣性式同步器。

8440-2167主要由接合套和同步鎖環(huán)等組成，它的特點(diǎn)是依靠摩擦作用實現(xiàn)同步。當(dāng)駕駛員換檔時，同步器能夠使將要嚙合的齒輪達(dá)到一致的轉(zhuǎn)速，從而順利嚙合。這大大簡化了換檔操作，尤其是從高檔向低檔的換檔操作，同時避免了齒間沖擊。

There are many forms of synchronizer, including atmospheric type, inertia type and self-strengthening type, inertia type is widely used at present.

8440-2167 is mainly composed of a joint sleeve and a synchronous lock ring, etc., which is characterized by relying on friction to achieve synchronization. When the driver changes gear, the synchronizer can make the gears to be engaged reach a consistent speed, thus smoothly engaging. This greatly simplifies the shift operation, especially from high to low gear, while avoiding the impact between teeth.
