ABB’s ACS880-01-109A-3 is a frequency converter belonging to the ACS880 series. Using ABB’s revolutionary Direct Torque Control (DTC) technology, the inverter is able to calculate the state of the motor at speed and quickly respond to sudden changes in process and load. It is mainly used to control and adjust the speed of three-phase AC asynchronous motor, with stable performance, rich combination functions, high-performance vector control technology, low speed and high torque output, good dynamic characteristics and excellent overload capability.

The specific parameters of the ACS880-01-109A-3 include a rated output current of 105A. In addition, it is equipped with a brake chopper and brake resistor to control the braking process and monitor the status of the system. The brake chopper is a standard built-in component for detecting faults such as short circuit of the brake resistance and resistance cable, short circuit of the chopper and estimated resistance overtemperature.
