母線差動保護(hù)的基本原理是依據(jù)基爾霍夫電流定律。對于一個(gè)母線系統(tǒng),母線上有n條支路。I=I?+I?+I?+……+I?,為流入母線的和電流,即母線保護(hù)的差動電流。當(dāng)系統(tǒng)正常運(yùn)行或外部發(fā)生故障時(shí),流入母線的電流和為零,即母線差動保護(hù)的差動電流,母線保護(hù)不動作。當(dāng)母線發(fā)生故障時(shí),等于流入故障點(diǎn)的電流,如果大于母線保護(hù)所設(shè)定的動作電流時(shí),母線保護(hù)將會動作。

母線完全差動保護(hù)是將母線上所有的各連接元件的電流互感器按同名相、同極性連接到差動回路,電流互感器的特性與變比均應(yīng)相同,若變比不能相同時(shí),可采用補(bǔ)償變流器進(jìn)行補(bǔ)償,滿足ΣI=0。此外,還有母線不完全差動保護(hù),只需將連接于母線的各有電源元件上的電流互感器,接入差動回路,在無電源元件上的電流互感器不接入差動回路。
