Small size with large PLC functions
The VersaMax modular CPU offers many features typically found only in large PLCS, including up to 128KB of memory for applications, floating-point arithmetic, real-time clock, subroutines, PID control, flash memory, and perturb-free program storage. Serial port supports serial read/write and Modbus master/slave communication.

Rich and useful I/O options
Emerson offers a wide range of discrete, analog, hybrid and special I/O modules. These modules can be freely combined to form a stand-alone I/O system with up to 256 I/O points and an extended I/O system with up to 2048 I/O points.

Perfect match for today’s open systems
VersaMax gives you the freedom to connect to a variety of host controllers, including PLCS, DCS and PC-based control systems via PROFINET (Remote I/O only), Modbus/TCP and other Ethernet networks, as well as Genius, DeviceNet, Profibus-DP. VersaMax also fully supports the functionality and open architecture of Emerson’s PC control solutions.

Easy to use design
Every aspect of VersaMax has been carefully refined to suit the user. The snap-in I/O base means that no tools are required to install or remove the module. A convenient rotary switch can be used to set the bus address, reducing programming time. With VersaMax, you can even address I/O automatically.
