The IC698ETM001 is a GE Ethernet interface module that provides high-performance Ethernet communication for RX7i control systems. It has an Ethernet processing speed of 200 MHz. The operating voltage of the power supply is +5 VDC, and the maximum current consumption is 1.5 (+5 VDC). The IC698ETM001 also provides TCP/IP communication with other GE Intelligent Platform control systems and hosts, and comes with software for Ethernet communication with GE Intelligent Platform controllers.

Selected features of the IC698ETM001 include full configuration and programming services and intermittent data exchange over Ethernet Global Data (EGD). This module provides EGD Class 2 functions or commands as well as Reliable Data Services (RDS) to ensure that command messages are communicated correctly. The module is equipped with comprehensive station management as well as diagnostic tools and extended connections. Thanks to the internal network switch, the full duplex port provides automatic negotiation of network speed and cross detection.

The redundant IP addressing of the IC698ETM001 module allows separate IP addresses to be assigned to two Ethernet modules in two different controllers. This address is configured in addition to the original IP address of each interface. The master unit Ethernet interface is the only interface that can use redundant IP. Note: The user must confirm that the gateway IP address is configured.
