SCANLAB has delivered the first digital encoders based on the intelliSCANde 14 scanning system integrated into manufacturing devices. intelliSCANde 14 is a fully digital scan head encoder for position feedback, IDrive-based digital control electronics and a 20-bit SL2-100 control interface. intelliSCANde 14 is ideal for high-precision machining and is designed for applications that require scan head speed and accuracy close to high-end XY platforms.

Abnormally low drift intelliSCANde 14 supports tiling in the highest precision applications, reducing the need for additional checks or readjustments throughout the process. The Smart Scan 14 has no “visual” tremors and has perfect straightness position resolution achieved with very high 20 bits. With a tracking error of just 130 seconds, intelliSCANde 14 is comparable to the fastest high-speed scanning heads available and allows for the highest processing speeds without aging effects.

The inteliSCANde 14 is mechanically and electrically fully compatible with SCANLAB’s existing hurrySCAN II 14 Intelliscan 14 range of scanning heads and can be used in a variety of laser processing Settings.
