MVI56-MNETR is a communication module that is commonly used to connect and integrate devices from different manufacturers so that they can communicate on a network. This module has a wide range of applications in industrial automation, process control, building automation, energy management, and data acquisition and monitoring.

The MVI56-MNETR is a Modbus TCP/IP interface module manufactured by Allen-Bradley and ProSoft Technology. It supports the Modbus protocol, allowing Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation ControlLogix processors to connect with Modbus-compatible devices, including Modicon programmable automation controllers and others. In addition, the module reduces the size of data blocks, helping to transfer data efficiently between the module and the controller.

The MVI56-MNETR module is powered by 800 mA at 5 volts DC and 3 mA at 24 volts DC. It is equipped with 10/100 Base-T connectors, RJ 45 connectors and LED indicators. LED indicators can show different states, including battery status, process status, and application status. The module is designed to work in Class I Zone 2 rated industrial environments and is certified to ATEX, cULus, RoHS and CE standards.

In addition, the MVI56-MNETR module comes with slots that are compatible with the backplane and can be used as an input/output module to access processor memory for data transfer between the processor and the module. The module uses ladder logic to transfer data between the module and the processor, supporting the storage and transfer of up to 5000 registers between the ControlLogix processor controller labels. The module supports up to 10 Modbus TCP/IP network servers and 10 MNET network servers.
