MVI56E-MCMR作為ControlLogix背板上的輸入/輸出模塊，使Modbus數(shù)據(jù)作為I/O數(shù)據(jù)出現(xiàn)在處理器上。 背板與處理器之間的數(shù)據(jù)傳輸與Modbus網(wǎng)絡(luò)上的通信是異步的。 兩個可獨立配置的串行端口可以在相同或不同的Modbus網(wǎng)絡(luò)上運行。
ControlLogix背板上提供的輸入/輸出模塊有多種類型。

The MVI56E-MCMR acts as the input/output module on the ControlLogix backplane, allowing Modbus data to appear on the processor as I/O data. The data transfer between the backplane and the processor is asynchronous with the communication over the Modbus network. Two independently configurable serial ports can operate on the same or different Modbus networks.
There are several types of input/output modules available on the ControlLogix backplane.

One of these is the Bulletin 1756-IB32 module, which is a digital input/output module with two sets of 32 inputs of 16 points each. This module requires a detachable junction box housing or RTB (such as Allen-Bradley 1756-TBCH or 1756-TBS6H) to be mounted on the ControlLogix chassis.

In addition, ControlLogix systems offer other types of input/output modules to meet different application needs, such as analog input/output, motion control, dedicated I/O and computing modules. These modules can be installed in a slot in the ControlLogix chassis and connect and communicate via the EtherNet/IP communication protocol.
