The new “Petra “application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) replaces functions previously implemented in IP2 chips, MC2 chips, and MCECC chips, improving the performance of the storage subsystem. The memory configuration switch enables customers to customize the memory size for applications that require a smaller memory configuration.
