The PXIe-6738 is a high-density analog output module developed by National Instruments. This module mainly provides analog output signals for PXI systems, and supports static and software timing voltage output applications. The module contains a 5V TTL/CMOS digital I/O line.

The PXY-6738 is particularly suited for applications that require control and waveform output, such as excitation-response testing, power control, high-speed, deterministic control, and sensor/signal simulation. These advanced features enable the PXI analog output module to replace a variety of instruments, such as stand-alone proportional integral differential (PID) controllers, low-speed arbitrary waveform generators, and function generators.

In addition, the PXIe-6738 is a high-density module, and ideally, it can achieve a large sampling rate by using up to 16 channels, each located in a different group. This means that it is particularly suitable for applications that require high density excit-response testing and open-loop simulation.

The PXIe-6738 module also provides the ability to synchronize multi-channel updates, which is useful for applications that require precise control of multiple output channels. For example, in a power electronics system, it may be necessary to control the output of multiple power sources simultaneously to ensure the stable operation of the system. With the PXIe-6738’s synchronous multi-channel update function, precise control of these power output can be achieved.
