TC625 is a coaxial modem is a kind of transmission equipment widely used in power, telecommunications, radio and television and other fields, for the transmission of digital signals and analog signals. Its working principle can be divided into two processes: modulation and demodulation.

Before sending the data, the computer converts the digital data into a digital signal and sends it to the modem. The modulation process converts the digital signal into an analog signal in the several kilohertz band, which is then transmitted to the receiver via a transmission medium such as a coaxial cable. At the receiving end, the demodulation part of another modem reconverts the analog signal into a digital signal so that the receiving device (such as a computer) can use it.

There are many ways of modulation, TC625 including amplitude modulation (AM), frequency modulation (FM) and phase modulation (PM). The modulator represents different states of the digital signal by changing certain characteristics of the analog signal, such as amplitude, frequency, or phase.
