The UNITROL 1005 is an automatic voltage regulator (AVR) from ABB. It is part of the UNITROL 1000 family of products and extends the range of excitation applications of the UNITROL family. The UNITROL 1005 is based on the same target software source code and shares the same simulation model as the rest of the UNITROL 1000 family, making it ideal for demanding grid code applications.

With A maximum excitation current of up to 5 A DC, the UNITROL 1005 uses the same software as the UNITROL 1010 and UNITROL 1020 to prepare for any demanding grid code requirements as well as dynamic fault crossing (FRT) detection. In addition, UNITROL 1005 offers a free debugging and maintenance tool, CMT 1000, which is a focused and fast debugging tool. UNITROL 1005 is available in two software versions.
