Digital I/O module, or digital input/output module, UR6UH is an electronic module for implementing digital signal input and output. These modules are typically used in programmable logic controller (PLC) control cabinets, or integrated into manufacturing equipment in factories. They collect data from input devices such as proximity sensors, pressure sensors, temperature sensors, and buttons, and control actuators such as output devices such as valves, relays, and lamps.

The digital I/O modules comply with safety standards, such as the IEC 61000 electromagnetic compatibility specification, to ensure safe and stable operation. When these modules include diagnostic capabilities, analysis of the provided data simplifies maintenance activities and minimizes equipment downtime.

In addition, digital I/O modules can be divided into discrete, analog and special modules according to their functions. The discrete module is mainly responsible for processing digital signals, the analog module deals with analog signals, and the special module has specific functions, such as high-speed counting, pulse output, etc.
