The VariStroke series can be configured with an easy-to-use computer-based PC service tool that allows users to easily configure, calibrate and adjust all internal functions and response Settings. Its integrated drivers include a 4-20 mA output channel to indicate the position of the output shaft (control valve), and device alarm and shutdown relay outputs for device health and status indication. The 4-20 mA on-demand input and dual redundant shaft position sensors enable continued operation even in the event of an on-demand input or feedback sensor failure, ensuring extended uptime between forced downtime and online system repairs.

The total installation cost of this fully integrated actuator is low because it is fully assembled and tested at the factory, significantly reducing “manufacturing, testing and field assembly time for Oems and end users.” In retrofit applications, variable stroke actuators can be used to directly replace existing servo systems. This saves costly repairs to existing and aging servo systems, eliminates the difficulty of obtaining spare parts for obsolete equipment, and reduces calibration time and difficulty.
