The MVI56E-MNET is a Modbus TCP/IP communication module released by ProSoft Technology and designed for Rockwell Automation’s ControlLogix Programmable Automation Controller (PACs). The main function of this module is to simplify the connection between devices using the Modbus TCP/IP protocol, including Modicon PAC and various instruments and devices.

Multi-client/Server support: The MVI56E-MNET module supports up to 30 MODBUS clients and 20 MODBUS servers, and in the main server, supports the connection of 30 clients with up to 16 commands, while supporting communication with multiple servers.

Data processing capability: The module can handle read and write data, and can page 40 registered read or write data blocks at a time, and can handle a total of 600 read data registers and 600 write data registers.

Hardware configuration and working environment: The MVI56E-MNET module occupies a single slot in the ControlLogix chassis and consumes 5mA at 800 VDC and 24mA at 3 VDC of available power. It operates in a temperature range of 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, has a storage temperature range of -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit, and can withstand 5 to 95 percent relative humidity without condensation.

Configuration and Programming: In order to configure this module, you need to use the ProSoft Configuration Generator (PCB). In addition, version 16 or higher is required if used with Additional Instructions (AOI), and version 15 or higher is required when used with the provided example ladder diagram program.
