A compact and versatile solution for capacitor banks
REV615 Capacitor Bank protection and control devices are used to protect, control, measure and monitor reactive power compensation capacitor banks in utility and industrial distribution systems.
The REV615 capacitor bank protection and control device is designed as the main protection for H-bridge, double Y and single Y capacitor banks and feeder cables. In addition, REV615 can be used to protect harmonic filtering circuits where no significant harmonic component is higher than the 11th. The REV615 is available in two standard configurations, one of which has been pre-configured as a H-bridge-connected capacitor bank to protect against three-phase unbalance, and the other as a double-Y-connected capacitor bank to protect against single-phase current unbalance.
REV615 capacitor bank protection and control devices fully support the IEC 61850 communication standard, which contains IEC 61850-9-2 LE and Edition 2, and substation automation equipment interoperability, providing substantial benefits in terms of extended interoperability. The device also supports Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP), High Availability Seamless Redundancy Protocol (HSR), DNP3, IEC 60870-5-103, and Modbus? protocols. By using the SPA-ZC 302 protocol adapter, the device supports the Profibus DPV1 protocol.
REV615 is a member of ABB’s 615 relay protection measurement and control device family in the Relion? product family.
